could i expect with this combo. new motor with keith black pistons, ported intake, water injection, open down pipe, ITS mini gate running at 18psi, stock turbo, atr upper ic, griffing lower ic, all 3/4 heater hose, jabsco ic pump, 50# injectors with ultimate, walbro 255. remember just some ball park guesses for my ammusment, just curious what i can expect when i finally get my ass down to the track. ::brews::

I ran 13.3's, stock turbo, stock injectors, running 20 lbs......I'd still say low 13's, high 12's, (maybe)...and that was running high octane too.

what would i need on top of this combo to actually get some consistant 12.5's?

i ran 13.0 with 0-60 4.3sec with nothing more than walbro, afpr, and v7 ultimate......12's coming with stock setup this comming summer...i believe guys like Dig in MN have run high 11's with stock turbo, injectors, but he is a tuning god.

I was running 13.02 with the stock turbo on stock engine with 15 psi. With decent boost control I could hit 12's for sure. So 12's are possible on the stock turbo, on pump gas, with no more boost than 17 psi, if the truck is in perfect shape and tuned well. Guys were running 12.4's-12.5's with mucho boost with the stock turbo. There were even a 12.2 if I'm right...

If you wanna do it easier get a bit bigger turbo (44 for example). If you wanna do a lot easier get a bigger turbo (pt52-54), rebuild your tranny and put in a good converter.


BTW way Dig was running 11.9's with a 20G, not stock turbo...

A 50lb injector Ultimate is probably too much for a stock. Anyways stock turbo Sy in good tune can run 12.4-12.5, as far as I know 12.29 is the best time for a stock turbo. The difference between a Ty and Sy is about .4 at this level. If you hit 12.8-12.9 you should be happy.

yea its all good t66 typhoon. just asking for fun i guess. and it is hella hard to pinpoint what i will actually be able to acomplish at the track. yea ive spent so much money on this truck and im tryin to move out that i cant get a te-44, but it would be nice 8). if i want to go for a ride in a real fast ty ill just have to take the 30 minute drive over to Tom Dowds house. :drinking: but thanks for all the answers guys. ill let you actually know what happens.
