i was happy with the capa fenders i purchased to replaced my rotted out ones on my truck other than you have to drill the antenna hole, i didnt know that before they got painted so i now have a remote mount antenna on the windshield

He is FINALLY in the shop. It took me over a year to find the cladding peices and bumper support priced reasonable enough (used) and timed correctly with extra $$$ in the bank.
I just kept putting it off because I figured the longer he sat, the less mileage lol. I cant wait to get it back and start driving SYMON again .
I am putting off a paintjob until I get the engine work done, BUT atleast the replacement fender and hood are black gelcoated so from a distance it wont look TOO bad!!!
I dropped it off with a fender, steel cowl hood, grille, gmc letters, headlights, corner covers, front bumper support, front bumper cladding, drivers side cladding, battery, radiator, and a C.Keith radiator support (which they cant figure out how to install... so now I am paying for a stock support replacement).
They just called saying I need a vaccuum canister, lower fan shroud (is our shroud 2 peices or do they probably mean innercooler scoop?) , and an ABS brake bracket (or some bracket). I have a feeling this will be a long install, hes already been in the shop 2 weeks!!! ---

I opted to NOT get the new parts painted yet ... and just get a full repaint within the next year. I hate paying twice for something . He sat for over a year.

Atleast he's back on the road!!! WOO HOOO!!! Still needs some tweaking, but I am just glad to see some progress . Still hasnt been washed in over a year either ( freezing/snowing/raining 90% of the time) ---

Actually , I looked over my shoulder to merge ... looked forward and the traffic in front of me stopped at a GREEN light. I wasnt expecting it... and the lady infront of me wasnt either.
She hit her brakes so hard all I saw was her nose go down and her ass go up ... then WHAM. The brakes on this truck SUCK. I have never felt confident with them. c5's and 7/8 wheel cylinders are my next upgrade, lol ---

The bodyshop wouldnt install my clear covers ... because I didnt have orange bulbs for it to pass inpection with. It looks cruddy with the stock orange ones down there.
I also did it because I was thinking of tinting those stock ones black, and wanted a taste of how it would look ---

nice to see you have it back and drivable. i drove mine for a long time being gold and grey and black and red, never bothered me that it was 39 different colors, when its all put back how you want it, it will be worth the wait.
