In this state my truck wouldn't pass if it was %100 stock with low milage lol so I don't bother with that anymore.. just save money for when the time comes for a new sticker

The y pipe that comes with the kit I am going to get looks like it would be sorta messing up the flow when its closed or open ( there is like 3" of pipe that the flow would go into then bounce back ) . Does it really matter?! If I put it before my cat since I have a stock DP ( 2.5" ) and a 3" cat back exhaust do I need a y pipe with a 2.5" and then 3" tip too?! If I cant figure out how to get one like that , I can put it after the cat ( to prevent boost spike anyway ) .... then just go 3" / 3" right? Thanks ---

ps . the muffler DID get louder, even after just 200 miles ( if anyone cared , lol )

Don't know if you know it or not, but the SRT-4 does not come stock with a muffler at all. Take the muffler off, put a cat back system on the truck with or without a straight through muffler. take off the flowmaster before passing go, and before reading anymore post's. It is killing your performance. I bought my Ty with one on it, and it was quite slugish, and when I took it off, the truck pulled harder, and was actually quieter inside, and sounds reall deep and throaty outside.

There you go, hack that power robbing muffler off and get it passed with Kreepinty, I have never seen a positive post about the flowmasters, and I don't think I ever will. I have an ATR myself and could feel the straight through flow through the gas pedal, with the acceleration. Dump the Blowmaster to quote another poster. :tdown:

You'll need a 2.5" ypipe if your putting it right off or on the stock sized dp.. if you place it after your cat (don't know why in the world you would do that) which is your 3inch catback piping then you'd need a 3inch y pipe.
