This is what I installed

ATR 3'' cat back with muffer
PTE 52 with the hiflo cat
50lb injectors
50lb ultimate update.
McCoy air filter kit.
port matched upper intake
new O2 Sensor

already had

ultimate
AFPR
Jabsco pump
battery relocated
10" 2900 stall converter
IC lines rerouted
IC hardwired "on"
bell mouthed IC inlet
ran consistand 12.8-13.0 T3-110octane

next on the order list, in order

innovative boost controller
SMC alcy kit
stage 3 heads
cam

Truck Idles smoother than it ever has, maybe I had a bad injector or something. THe only problem I have is from a start or low speed and you go wot really quick it bogs for a sec and then gets it. I would be its the fuel press. Does the Bog mean its low or hi?? Other than that truck doesnt really feel any faster than it was just makes alot I mean I LOT MORE of the whistling turbo sound. I was hoping for a little more improvement. I guess I need to spend mo money!

Thnks for any answers on the FP!!

i have a close set up with stock injectors, pitbull, te61,atr 3" downpipe with atr external wastegate, no cat custom mufflex 3" catback, 160 stat, i am sure i am missing something but anyway you get the point big turbo and exhaust and no or very small improvement.(best so far is a 14.2, only once at the track) i am guess it is the converter i think stock stall is not good eoungh for the turbo i have and mine does the same as yours a little bog then goes. but i just put an aftermarket boost gauge on and it is only reading at 10 lbs and the dash is past 15+. maybe just me but these trucks don't mod well. with the same mods on a gn i saw much better improvments, my gn with just bolt ons to the motor(turbo, front mount, dp, stock heads mild port, and injectors plus some trans work such as a 9" 3500 stall and shift kit put my gn in the high 10's low 11's

Here are the start of your problems...

TE-61 with stock injectors...
Pitbull chip...
large turbo with no stall...

Have you checked to see if your IC is functioning correctly...
replaced the stock hard lines?

Read the archives... do a search.... the stock boost gauge is known to be innacurate. Henceforth the need for a reliable aftermarket gauge..

You can't just throw parts on a vehicle an expect them to work on their own... only certain cominations work.. or have been proven... and even then you have to test, tune, and calibrate.....

This is the exact thing my truck did when I ran the Beta 50 program with my new PTE 44 setup. I bleieve base fuel pressure should be around 43. Anyways the problem is most likely chip related. I drove my truck for about three days since I installed the 50's and the PTE. During that time I tried fooling with the AE and DE tables but had no luck.

If the neckdown in the PTE cat and the ATR cat-back is still present, you're loosing a lot of performance there. I ran it that way for about a week and the performance wasn't there. After re-doing it to a true 3" by removing the neckdown is was much better. After a few weeks of the truck with that I still wasn't happy (I'm picky and like every last ounce of performance) so I just ditched the cat all together and it's much more to my liking.

As for spending more money on it because you haven't noticed enough improvement, I'd suggest trying to tune it unless you're just into throwing parts on it for bragging rights (which is also fine since it's your truck). You should find out why you aren't feeling much improvement instead of assuming it's because you haven't spent enough money on go-fast parts. Get some DM files and some times at the strip, invest in a WBO2 setup and try and get your current stuff running perfect. IMO it makes it much harder to get a truck running when you change 100 things and then try to make it all work well together.

I have 3" all the way back I had a muffler shop fabricate a piece to replace the ATR piece. I let my brother drive it and he thinks it has alot more power. Im in Texas I cant go without a cat. I dont street race much at all anymore but if your in the area your vehicle fits the profile they will go through it thoroughly. They impounded my mustang one night and slapped me with a ticket, court cost and a fine, tow charges. I was in Garland Texas not street racing at all "I swear, REALLY" They stopped me noticed I had the off road pipes and towed it............SUCKED hard! Turns out they had broken up the street races and were out catching the stragglers as they made it out of the area.

The truck I guess is ok runs great, I think I will order that innovative boost controller this week.

Well remember the chip stuff is in beta stage still. AE issues are being worked on, boost control is being worked on, as well as the WOT fueling.

As far as performance, it's very difficult to tell on many trucks. Do you have Datamaster? You can do some logs with Datamaster, see how you are running, both with sensor readings as well as with the built in ET/hp estimates. Make changes, try again.

Actually I played with the FP and it doesnt stumble at all on quick WOT it seemed to be a REAL fine line to where it did it and didnt do it. Right now a base FP of 42 seems to work very well. Oh no prob on the chip. Damn thing runs better than ever.

My laptop is company provided and the I.T. dept. has it right now. I would bug them about it more, but those guys are wierd. I hate going in there. I had at least a 1Gig of porn on there so once they got it they shut the door and I havent seen them for a week

Im not sure if I want it back!!!!

i would try leaning on it some more. i found the off idle hesitation went away when i leaned it out a little. just do it slowly and watch for KR as you go down. you will probably also find that big 52 will spool better with a leaner mix. i think where you will see the bigest gains is in higher boost. at ~18 pounds your truck should feel like a rocket. i know mine does.

On mine boost in fairly solid until you get into the t2's and hi t1's... I think BG is on the right track

Im thinking about getting a boost controller anyhow

what does it look like

what does it look like

I got the 3 inch tube from jerry that comes with the PTE 52 setup but didn't know that he actually had a kit for it also. I am just running a kn on the end of the three inch rubber tube he gave me, Is this the same?
