knock & manifold intake temperature

Need some help ..Have a 1992 low mileage Typhoon 100% stock besides k&n and Johnson intercooler pump "may still have air in system"..
Driving With a snap on scanner
Picking up average 4-7 counts of knock on a wot pull .. Manifold intake temperature range is 135°-180°

The johnson pump has a red and a black wire. The OEM pump has a brown and a black wire.
A COMMON mistake is to cut the pigtail connector off the OEM pump and splice it to the johnson pump, black to black, and tan to red. This is incorrect polarity, the johnson pump runs backwards, and doesn't pump very well, if at all.

Correct polarity is pigtail tan to johnson black. Pigtail black to johnson red.

Something to check. Your MAT are too high, although if you have functioning EGR, EGR raises MAT significantly.

Egr will give you high Air intake Temps. I've disconnect and plug the Egr vacuum hose and made a big difference. In temperature

if you can't figure it out with the stock ecm, you may consider upgrading to our stage 1 plug n play ecu. It will give you all the information you need to troubleshoot your knock. It's also connected to the CEL to provide trouble codes for all the major sensors:
