Lightweight spare wheel/tire assy for us.??

I was wondering if there is a GM spare aluminum wheel that is available to replace the stock steel/tire assy?
Remember what the Rustang guys ran for there low price skinny front runners? Late 80's into the 90's?
I believe they were a spare wheel assy from Thunderbirds?
They were solid aluminum type.
Anyone remember?

lincoln town cars have these aluminum skinny spare tire/rim 90's though.

gta's and some camaro's have a lightweight aluminum spare ! i found one about a year ago at the junkyard ! :tup:

You want the spare from a 04 - 05 GTO. They're a 17" lightweight rim, with enough backspacing to clear upgraded brakes. Also has the correct diameter (less than 2/10 inch off)

It fits the corvette too, so I assume it has to be the same. The GTO's normal rims do have funny backspaing. that one has 3.5" backspace (out of a total of 4), so it's roughly the same as our stockers. And yes, it is a spare :tup:

The GTO spare will fit just fine you need to open the center for 4x4 hub clearance they wook fine but keep in mind they usually sell for 100 cause of the vette guys

too true ... but after I priced getting a LS1 camaro rim and the correct size spare to fit it this is cheaper :tup:

If you have 12 inch front brakes a 1998-2002 camaro spare will work if you have 13inch you need the GTO spare the correct camaro spare tire has round holes aroung the outside

steel and light anything is lighter then the factory and the GTO spare is heavier then you think
