Limited Edition Blazer .... Ty cladding.

This is sitting in 1 of my local junkyards, it says Limited Edition on the rear windows, has all stock Blazer interior in cloth, 4x4 in floor, & had all TY cladding with I believe a TBI Vortec. I forgot to check the vins to see what it actually was but I thought I'd share it up.

how much are they asking for the whole thing, might be intresting to buy the whole cladding

yep, that looks like it's an actually 92 Ty. Might be one of the prototypes. I bet if you look around a little more your going to find the 92 Syclone sitting in the yard.

They will not sell you a whole car out of a junk yard. i bet the yard knows what they have too. Their is one yard by me that has 8-11 sy and ty, in all different shapes. some are brand new wrecks from 1992 from moving them to dealers and were damaged. they are hidden in a room. that not to many people know about.

Could that be a prototype, or could someone buy a new Blazer and pay the price to have it sent through PAS to get dressed in cladding? Nice find none the less, pretty interesting...

I agree, it is really neat finding things like that. Have not struck any luck as of yet though. I remember a few years ago when I was into third gen Camaros I fond a few nice ones in a junk yard. They wanted like 3 grand for an entire car and I just walked away.

The passenger side has all the cladding missing but uses those pop rivets to hold it into place like some of the pics you guys have of your SyTy's mounting hardware .... they're all there but what's shown on the driver's side is all the cladding that's left. I'm fixing to contact the owner now to find out about the whole black/black Blazer/Ty & because I found a 2nd gen Bravada I want the rear end, front differential, & transfer case from to make the SGT AWD with front & rear ABS disc breaks all around even if it never gets :turbo: charged :myclone:.

Will keep you guys informed on a price for the black/black Blazer/Ty .... even though I wouldn't buy it for nothing more than misc. parts.


PS the guy who owns the yard doesn't care what it is .... it's for sale for $ & he's reasonably cheap just to sell it.

Yep, deffinatly. I can't imagine ever coming across a SyTy in a auto junk yard, and if so it would be stripped of all it's specific parts before you clould blink. b00n have you gotton the rear cover yet? I wouldn't leave for too long...you should just grab all the remaining cladding while your at it.

Damn that fender is in better shape than the one on my truck! Find out how much for the driver side fender and see how much rust is hidden behind the cladding! Lol

I haven't yet but am going to get it as soon as I receive payment for my Bravada cladding in the misc 4 sell section. I'll get anybody anything else they want from this for what the junkyard prices it + shipping = I won't make :2cents: so let me know .... otherwise I can't waste the $$$ just yet.

actually yes they are sliding rear windows & I believe both frames are there @least but I'll have to recheck completeness when I get the roll pan w/ brackets. Will be going back SOON as I've sold the 1st Gen Bravada cladding w/ bumper cover. Should I take a weed eater with me & try to get some better pics when I get the vin #s :lol:.
