Long time lurker...finally bought a truck

So I've been lurking on the site for many years just never posted. I just purchased a 93 red/red typhoon off of ebay ad# 120302436966 ( I dont know how to provide a live link). If anyone knows the history of the truck or previous owners, any info is great. The truck is currently at San Diego Classic and Muscle Cars in Escondido and if anybody would be willing to look at it for me I would be willing to compensate them for their time. Any comments or suggestions are much appreciated. Looking forward to being a typhoon owner.:tup:

The dealer many deals in higher end stuff and assured me that it is 100% original paint and interior.

Thats a very nice paint job. Interior is in awesome shape. Very nicely done while still maintaing originality. Good buy. Im sure your waiting paid off.

The dealer told me that the mirrors were replaced with signal mirrors. Not sure if I will swap back to the originals or not, depends on how it looks. Thx for all the replies guys.

here is the pic from Sportmachines.... apparently its been on eBay before too, except it had 68735 miles about a year ago... wonder how those 2000 miles dropped off :screwy:

Captain you are the man for finding that. I saw it on sportmachines but not the pics with the milage. I was to send money this week but we now have a problem. I suppose there could be a clerical error but I need some answers. This site rules when it comes to helping out a new owner.

James, ask for a picture of the mileage on the odometer without letting them know you are aware of possible odometer fraud.

If in fact they've rolled it back, these f*ckers need to pay. :tdown:

Good luck on the ty. congrats and welcome to the site. I thought only syclones had the elephant ears( looking at the question on the e-bay link). Sure like the red color. Coming from Cali at least there's no rust issues there.

the mileage is the only thing "screwy" it seems. I mean obviously the mirrors, grill and parking lights have been replaced with aftermarket items, however the truck was originally a "no roof rack" truck, so theres no fear of rack removal and bodywork there, so it could very well be original paint, I would just find out about the mileage and get an exact number, not just a rounded estimate.

EDIT: and just so you know, the date in which it was previously on ebay was 10/19/2007 and at that time was in Westminster, CO. Bidding reached $10,125 but reserve was not met.

I just emailed the seller and requested a pic of the dash. He sent the pic and the odometer shows 69,000 and when I quizzed him he said typo. I told the seller that I would only buy it if it was original paint but I guess buyer beware. I will need it looked at by an professional.
