Since the author of this thread amended his first post, I don't wanna let the cat out of the bag. But it has something to do with *cough* having located and possibly buying syclone #0001 *cough*

How bout it?
Re: Look what the newby found!

Is he talking about 1992 Sy 00001, that is smashed and located in Auburn, NY. If so good luck, I have been trying to get that thing for years. The guy wont sell. The rest or the pics I took are on Sportmachines.com.

Later,

Maybe it is the worst thread ever, but I thought about it and I shouldn't say much until the deal actually goes through. Yes it has to do with an 0001 Syclone of 91.

Re: Look what the newby found!

I did research on it and the 0001 sytys documented are the 92 SY that is in a junk yard and a couple Ty's 93-94s. I couldn't find any info on 91 Sy0001. If it were in a museum, it would have atleast some documentation that I can find. From what I am told from the owner it was a regularly used truck that was treated like a truck so it isn't in mint condition. He says the transfer case is bad on it.

The Buick I may trade him is in very good shape and low milage. It will be a good deal for him if the truck has issues like he tells me.

why would you trade a $100k+ car for a truck completely restored that is worth maybe $20-$30k? hell i would give you my gn and 1 ty for it if you are willing to make trades like that.

Re: Look what the newby found!

What makes the Sy all that just cause it says 0001 on a metal plate? BFD, is it quick, does it look badass? I think dude is willing to trade for it cause he knows its only worth what someone will pay for it...and if its a broke dick truck then he shouldn't get much. They've already got a SY in a museum right, so its doubtful 0001 will ever be in one too or have bigtime status especially since its been wrecked, yes? I dunno, I just don't get it.

My car isn't a GNX. Just an 87GN. Everything now a days is only worth what someone would pay for it.

There is something so unique about the Syclones. It is the badest truck that ever came out of Detroit. Since it only made it into production in 1991, there is only one true first truck. In 92 there only were just a few made and certainly away from the public like all the rest of the prototypes before and after 91. If this truck is number 1, it has the potential of being sought for and I am sure that a true car enthusiest would give top dollar for it.
