Looking for a Ty In So Nev / So Cal

Hey guys I have been lurking for a while I finally registered & now I am getting close to making a purchase.

I have an opportunity to buy a 93 Typhoon with 48k miles but it has a salvage title. The price is 10,500. Seems to be in good shape. It has a hot start issue, AC needs charge. Or should I wait. It appears to be a good car but whats yourguys take. Also anyone in Las Vegas on here?

Thanks
Bill

WAYY TOO MUCH! 5g max for salvage title trucks no matter thier condition. I dont care whether it was stolen or keyed as the excuse for the titling, NO WAY would I buy that, so you stear clear too.

No way the reason for my answer, but, i will be considering selling my 93 w/g for 13 obo and it has 50k on a rebuild with forged internals, a clean title, clean inside and out, and has been well maintained by me for quite some time. Hopefully that gives you an idea. Click the link in my sig for a pic of my truck.
good luck and stay away from salvage titles.

also, i guess, pm me if you are interested. Thanks

I have been looking for Typhoon and I thought it was a good deal. But what do I know. Is there any way to get the salvage cleaned up. Can the milage be verified by reading the ECU? There is one in So cal for 14K obo w/ 55k Miles the owner said its super clean. I havent been able to see it. I understand it belonged to a movie producer & was a user car for Clint eastwood. Dont know if that makes a difference or not. But the slavage one is owned buy the guy who makes the FG cladding. He said it was a theft recovery missing wheels, cladding, seats. Its all green not my favorite color. The one in So cal is Green/ Grey. I am trying to stay around 10-12k :dunno:
