all oil galley plugs are present and accounted for. oil pump looks to be in good condition. i did pull one of the rod caps, looks a bit worn due to the lack of oil pressure.
they are going to pull it apart to find out why there is no oil pressure. i'll know more tomorrow.

as you may know i took my motor back to the machine shop friday morn. well as of today they had not even looked at my motor, i was so pissed i took it back. i took it to another shop and explained the situation to him that i had no oil pressure and no oil to the rockers. he proceeds to remove the oil galley plugs and what do you know the SOB (first shop) did not remove them when the block was tanked. oil galley full of crud that has gone thru my motor and trashed the new bearings.
as of now the block is getting cleaned and replacing the bearins ect....AGAIN ! i will be contacting the first shop in the morning to demand my money back.

Jeeeeeeez man. How much did they do the work for?
Are you going to have to machine the crank now? Will a refund cover it or is there more damage now? New caps/crank bearings etc.

Man that sucks. I know how you feel though. In 05, I had a machine shop I had delt with for 10 years rip me on my crank. They ground and polished it and the motor knocked with in 100 miles. Popped it out and took it back. They said they would re-do the crank and give me bearings. I picked it up and something felt funny in the atmosphere there. After I left I massaged the crank and actually felt a dip in one of the main journals. I had to pull over and see with my own eyes. I took it to another shop and sure enough, the grind was off by 2 and 3 thousandths on every damn journal. It was basically junk. From then on, I was nuts about checking machine shops work, you definitely can't go wrong.

No. It's in the main oil galley coming from the oil pump where the rear main attaches. That galley, when it was drilled, goes all the way to the oil pressure sender. However part way up there is a plug that diverts the oil to the filter. After the filter it comes back to that galley and feeds the entire engine.
Originally there was a steel ball driven in there. If you remove it in order to run a galley brush through there (which I personally recommend) then the replacement plug looks like a mini freeze plug. It is NOT the same a SB Chev, it's smaller. NAPA shows it in their book I just don't have the number in front of me. I will look to see if I have that receipt.
BTW if you replace that plug don't put any sealer on it. You're just asking for trouble if a speck gets away goes to a bearing somewhere.
