i dropped my ty with 2 inch lowering blocks in the back and barely lowered the front with the torsions bars to make it sit even. ( no rake to it)
and now when i launch or when im getting on the throttle good and the road makes a dip i here my drive shaft rubbing on the floor board. im assuming that by lowering the truck i messed up the geometry of the driveline angle but what can i do to correct it?

Check to make sure you installed the blocks correctly if they are TAPERED to reset the Pinion angle. Also, if they arent tapered blocks did you install a wedge to help with the pinion angles ????

This would cause the noises you are claiming....

i just used the stock wedges that were in their. i was thinking maybe when i get my new bilstein shocks that it would correct my problem, maybe less squating than the stock shocks. and yes im pretty sure my tires and rubbing. :)

Umm usually you should have new wedges, the stock wedges accomodate the stock drop/lift. If you raise or lower it and DONT add wedges you may experience what you are finding, eventually the U-joint will die and hopefully you wont barf a drive shaft. GET IT FIXED.. Call some suspension places and tell them whats happening and ask for a set of wedges, generally speaking, its not wise to STACK wedges either ! Especially with these trucks and their wild ass launches.

Good luck and keep us updated

I would contact the place you ordered from, tell them what its going on and that from GM it already sat LOWER than a stock blazer. Ask them to send you a wedge with more RAKE to it to replace not only the one you need to install, but the one thats currently in there. I WOULDNT stack 2 separate wedges on top of each other, one hard BOOST launch could spit it out. In fact I hated to use the one that was in there to begin with when I did my lowering. The blocks I bought were tapered and seem to work fine. Lowering the truck with blocks is TOUGH on axle wrap (Windup) the only way to really alleviate the problem is acquire lowering SPRINGS, which I want to do eventually (gotta get truck moving first), or some sorta CALTRAC setup. Either way the wedges arent that cheap, on the average they can be had for anywhere from 1* to over 6* of deflection change. I am not sure what to tell you the STOCK angle is, but you would want to find ONE WEDGE that accomodates BOTH angles together in ONE piece.

2 questions.

1- would lowering the front of the truck a little help fix the pinion angle

2- would new shocks help with the "torque up" of the pinion angle and reduce it?

No, lowering or raising the front has no change in the rear pinion angle, what it changes is effectively the angle between the rear end and the rear springs. Assuming that all along this IS the problem then the only REAL fix is the wedge change adjustment.

I realize this next part is going to suck, but attempt to put truck back to stock height (remove blocks) and see if noise goes away. If it does chances are very likely that it IS the blocks. Are you 100% sure that you reinstalled the factory wedges in the same direction they came out of the truck ? I know when I put the tapered blocks in my truck what I thought was the CORRECT direction turned out to be the WRONG direction and I experienced the exact noises you describe.. I swapped out the blocks and turned them the other direction and everything has been fine since.

what direction should the wedge be pointed? should the angle be facing towards the front, or the back of the truck?
To be honest, I cant recall (sorry) its been sooo long I cant remember, I realize its a PITA, but consider loosening up one side at a time and swapping it around, see if problem goes away.
