Re: lsx swap?

LS6 in a camaro would have had to be swapped into a it(unless they built cars I didnt know about) and the 700 should bolt up you may hev to change flywheels though.

i believe the 01-02 came with the ls6 intake but otherwise no ls6 from factory. you would need the wireing harrness ecu ect i believe.

basically I found a 94 camaro with a newer low millage ls6 in it and its cheap. i was originally just gonna keep the old carb 350 setup for now but this came along.

plan on going through whatever motor you get. Plan on changing the rods and stuff so you dont end up with a pile of parts like Ralph did (VisciousV6)

i've owned multiple gen III powered vehicles never had an internal engine issue plus once all the hard work in done a 5.3l long block is 200-400 at a junk yard, many go 9's with nothing more than rod bolts (other platforms)

Id say it may be worth it.... You can pull the drive train and then sell the roller for 800-1000 bucks agter you clean her up.

If the motor is what he says it is , wouldnt you think he'd want more for the whole thing .

When something seems better than it is or "too good to be true" , what usually is the outcome ?

I was planning on spraying or S'charging the engine in that truck, you have a ZZ4 aluminum head engine in there. With a few tweaks it'll make big power.

IF its an LS6.. go for it. But go through that motor with a fine toothed comb to make sure its straight and IS a true ls6.

I planned on rebuilding the trans and driving it. alluminum intake and heads don't bolt together true, decked block milled heads ? was blower water, took it apart found half of the intake to head bolts stripped. couldn't get the engine to stop blowing water so I pulled it and tossed the heads and intake. now I don't know if I trust it? stock lsx is a much better power plant in my opinion.

Re: lsx swap?

Wow, I didn't know it was that thrashed. Owner before me dicked around with it a bunch, I just re-set the timing (he had it 180 off), stuck a makeshift exhaust on it and drove it.
