Luv is pretty small body compared to a Syclone... I kind of doubt that it will fit.... might kind of look like a Hot Wheels :D
Have you taken measurements on it?

Re: luv bodied syclone!!!!

Sounds like a cool project that I have thought of as well.

Gonna ramble for a minute so bear with me...

My dad was a Chevy salesman the whole time I was a kid, from like 68-77,and he was always buying new shit. First car I remember was a 72 Chevelle 3 on the tree that my mom drove into his workbench at the end of the garage. Then she shot it with a rattle can hoping he wouldn't notice. :rotf:

He had a 73 Laguna S-3 454 demo with every option that I loved.Burgandy with white vinyl top and a 4 speed

So anyways, onto the LUV. We had a new one.Prolly 76ish.Goddamn ugly orangish poo color and SLOOOW. But it was different and I liked it.Pretty sure LUV was an acronym for Light Utility Vehicle. Think it was traded on a new 78 Toyota longbed.

Anyway.our neighbor had a LUV. He had stuffed a BBC into it and had a narrowed Olds rearend. That is the ride that turned me on to muscle cars. I remember that the street would shake when he idled by into his garage. OMG to a little kid that was incredible.I think I got the Datsun "Lil Hustler" model right after that.

So yeah IMO it will fit,and it will be badass.

Keep us posted.

I have a modded 4.3 in my chevy luv. 700R4 and a s-10 rear end. it's 2wd though. would be easier if it were a 4wd.

I'm in Mexico right now( Cozumel) and they still have them here( they make them -brand new). I remember a v-8 years ago when they were sold in the states.

Yup, I can see swapping a new 4.3 into an existing Luv chassis - pretty easy, but he says,

"putting a 1974 chevy luv body on it.....body is lighter and the luv..."

....this sounds to me like actually dropping a Luv body on a Sy roller chassis.....
Hmmm, I think we need more clarification. :D

yes actually will be modifying the body mounts on the sy chassis as well as the floor in the LUV body to allow them to mate up
