My Typhoon is red/red. The guy I bought it from told me this, as I hadn't ever seen a red/red typhoon that was stock.
When GM made the Marlboro Sy's, they also made two Marlboro Ty's, complete with Marlboro graphics. The two Ty's went to executives in the Marlboro company. They drove them as company cars for a little while, and then they were sold. The last known locations were in the UK somewhere, and in Japan somewhere.
While GM was painting the Sy's and Ty's, they continued to paint with the red/red color. Rumor has it, they painted 14 in the red/red. And halfway thru the 15th, they ran out of the paint, so they ended up repainting the 15th another color.
Does anyone have any information to confirm or dispell this? I want a new paint job, but if my color is truely this rare, I don't know if I would want to change it. I mean to actually find and be able to get ahold of one of these trucks is difficult enough... let alone a 1 in 14 color. Let me know... you won't hurt my feelings if I'm wrong.
