Made it home in one piece with Don and Jeff following. Started raining pretty good by the time we got to my place. Got them the parts to fix Jeff's truck (hopefully). They'll be busy tomorrow.

Thankx again Jimmy for hosting all of us - it's events like yours that keeps NASTE going strong. Your garage is a true work of automotive art. Way to go dude!!

I am also happy to have been there for the bbq even if I had to show up on a flat bed. It could have been so much worse and I am glad it wasn't. Thanks to Jimmy and his wife for throwing a great bbq. Now I know what I was missing the last couple of times. Big thanks to Morgan for helping out with the truck(basically doing everything and telling me what I need to get it going again) and all else who helped out. I really appreciate it. Another thanks to Jimmy and his wife for allowing me to keep my truck at thier house overnight also. It was nice to meet some of the sytyers I have only seen post before and also to see a couple I have known for a while. All in all even with the problem it was a good time.

Sounds like everyone had a great time, I know I did. Thanks Jimmy for hosting, everything was awesome. Great to see everyone and put some new faces with names.

Jeff - good luck fixing the truck and glad you are ok. Could have been much worse.

Morgan - keep us posted on the BMW build, I am excited to see it go together.

.

Thanks. Truck is at Don's house Raist103 and now waiting for parts to get it all back to normal. Thanks again to all for helping out and sorry to Jimmy for showing up so damn late tonight to get the truck. I hope we didn't make too much noise. We were trying to make as little noise as possible. Just got here about 30 minutes ago.

Thanks again Jimmy, it was another great BBQ. I love the chicken and rice, it's still my favorite of all times I think. The weather was great, didn't rain at all the entire time I was there. It started a little bit after I got home. looking forward to next year already.

Re: May Meet: BBQ @ Jimmy V's (CT)

Hi all, back from Michigan, my brother-in-law was in a severe head on accident with two punks in a VW GTI. Luckily he was in his Freighliner plumbing truck so he fared better than one would expect for a head on 70mph to 60mph accident. Passenger in the other car died, driver in critical condition, brother-in-law very shaken, no broken bones, many brain issues (for the lack of a better term)...very shaky (hand, upper body), can't get thoughts out, studders like crazy, chest pain....but all in all amazing for what it was.

Sorry to have missed the event, sounds like I missed a good one. Next year for sure.

Thanks for putting it on Jimmy....very nice of you and your wife.
