Is there any reason why my truck should feel like it excellerates faster in overdrive than drive?? I have an ultimate 50# chip, and was wondering if this maybe had something to do with tc lockup points and what not. thanks.

Sounds odd.

My understanding is that you have higher line pressure in D resulting in firmer/quicker shifts.
You should only shift into OD at the far end of the track IF you need to.
Prolly in the 105-110 area.

Maybe someone that understands the trans better than I can elaborate on the why and the how...

AFAIK the Ultimate doesn't affect TC lockup at all.I have a toggle switch installed in my sill plate for locking the TC below 70 mph,and I run a #50 Ultimate.
Dunno about the OD deal, sounds like you have a problem.......

I think most 50# chips have the lockup raised in part throttle to about 45-45mph bc most ppl with 50#ers also have higher stalls that require more lockup MPh to aviod shudder.

i think it has something to do with the fact that i have a 20g-14cm turbo with stock tc, it helps me to build boost with the OD lugging a little bit before it downshifts. if that makes any sense
