Re: Medina Ohio meet September 27

if anyone has a decent card table, that would help. More than a few is ok. Y'all bringing syclones have no excuse.
it will help tom for parts, and will help me for food. Last year I used the bed of the Suburban for pizza boxes. Looking to do better this year.

As always me and Gary had a great time. Thanks matt. Hopefully John and Tom didn't get themselves in to trouble at the street race. But I hope you blew there doors off and won some money.

Another great show. Had a local stop by in his Gn, and Alex from big 3 racing was happy to check out some syty's. He's got a fast 2nd gen s10 that's Syty inspired.
At the Brunswick car show, there were at least 10 people that about crapped themselves seeing that many trucks together. A handful of younger guys (under 20 I would say) knew exactly what these trucks were.

Thanks Matt for hosting this get together :). It was great meeting new owners as well as old ones. My only regret was not getting there sooner :(... Hope that everyone made it back home okay. Looking forward to the next one !

Thanks Matt and everyone who had a hand in putting this together. I had a great time as always. It is always great to see everyone. Going to the car show after the park get-to -gather was also a great time. Most people have never seem a SY or Ty, let alone a group of them together. We got to hear all the usual comments again from the slightly uneducated regarding these trucks... "yep son, Chevy made the Syclone and the Typhoons were the GMCs", "....have the Buick Turbo motors in them", "They came close to betting a vette back in the day"

After the car show Jim took Tom, Tim and I out to the B3R racing shop. B3R is a hard core racing shop with lots of serious NMCA cars hanging around. They invited us to a somewhat closed street car gathering at a tucked away private industrial location.. 100 plus bad, bad cars and lot of 8 and 7 sec smack chatter. We stayed for a couple of hours, but left before any street racing started.

The syty gathering was definitely an all around great time...sorry for those that missed it.

Re: Medina Ohio meet September 27

After getting some much needed sleep yesterday, I come away happy after another great SyTy meet.

Thank you to Matt for putting it all together, setting up the park, getting the pizzas, and being a very gracious host. I had a great time. Leaving at 4:30 am on Saturday and then rolling back into Matts driveway with John, at 12:30 am, after a day full of SyTys, and meets an cars, made me feel 20 again! Although I felt 60 after making it home on sunday morning with minimal sleep it was all worth it!

Thanks to all of you that came out. 17 trucks on a Saturday afternoon in Ohio is fantastic! Its the effort from each of you to make it to these meets that makes the community what it is.

The cruise in was excellent. A lot of cars and a wide range of vehicles which is always cool to see. Lots of folks excited to see more than one SyTy there.

As John said, the visit to B3R was awesome, good guys, nice shop, fast cars. The racing/gathering spot after was quite impressive. 100+ hi HP, higher end vehicles, including Ford GT, 4 GN's (2 of which were 86's) including one 10k mile GNX and countless boosted LS cars, mustangs, and everything in between. It was very cool. And rolling in John's AWD Ty was phenomenal and it got a tremendous amount very positive attention. Thanks to JimHP for being our tour guide in his bad a** modded CTSV.

It always nice to chat and share with everyone, even if we have seen each other a few times throughout the summer. The enthusiasm drives us every day. And sometimes pushes us to be a bit too ambitious like attempting a turbo swap in the park parking lot..... to which we have to succumb to rusted exhaust housings and bolts.... sorry Nick. And wanting to help to get trucks running better.... even if its crossed plug wires.... wink wink.... And seeing old friends, like Mike Campbell, that haven't been to a meet in years, dust off their truck and drive down to be part of a meet again, good to see you again buddy. And meeting some new folks in and out of the SyTy community is always nice as well. Thank you everyone!

Cant wait till next year!

For some humor, we had my Daughters 8th birthday party yesterday at the same pavilion as the meet.

My dad (who pulled up in the silver Z28 with Z06 wheels for those of you that didnt get to meet him) got out of their car yesterday (turbo powered of course, new Turbo Regal awd) and looked down to the puddle of coolant. He looked right at me and started laughing...."I know what thats from"

My truck had other plans.

But I had a good time. Good to see people again and meet a few new ones.
