Motor mounts not fitting

I am finally working on my truck after a 8 year hiatus. I am test fitting my engine in the frame so I can tighten the motor mounts down. I bought these Baja brand mounts a few years ago and they aren't made anymore. I liked the design of them since they aren't solidly mounted but not rubber either. When I set the engine on one mount the bolt hole on the other side is about 3/4" away from lining up. All the mounts are loose and I believe in the correct positions. Anyone have any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Bad mounts? Any info would be appreciated.

Those are not the mounts that required that the frame brackets be changed to s10 4 cylinder brackets? Or maybe it was 2.8 v6 brackets? I remember looking at some brackets years ago that may be yours that required the different frame brackets.

I believe it was JTR mounts. Sorry about that.

I have had times that leaving the mounts/brackets loose enough to move around enough to get everything bolted together. But in your situation, it is quite a bit off.

Have you tried swapping the brackets on the motor to the other side?
Had a very similar issue with my son's V8 swap in his rodeo GM 3.1l. Only way we got them to work was by adding 1/4" plate under the mounts on the frame. Ended up pulling them and making our own.

I ran into a similar problem and had to loosen all of the mounts up, run the bolt through the middle, and then tighten the pads to the frame and block. It really sucks to do but it does work and that's how I've seen a ton of people have to do it
