my evening of racing at the nats friday night

first pass :i get ready to race and my wide band stops working
then there was some "confusion" from track officials sbout letting
laptops in the truck during runs . i was told no laptop .
frustrated that i am surronded by people that can help and no way
to log wideband or datamaster i pull up . i bring it upon boost and
the IC hose pops off before the lights come down. tighten clamp
when i get back to pits after looking a fool .

second pass : track officials decide to let laptops in if bungied
to the seat well . at least i have datamaster to log with . bring it
up on boost launch at 8 lbs truck moves about 10 feet and the
IC hose blows off again . after looking a fool again some fellow
syty folks help find a new clamp .

third pass : pull out onto the track and mr butthead track burnout
official says no laptop . i argue with him saying the staging track official says
its ok but knuclehead won't let me stage with the lap in the truck .
i hand the laptop to mr butthead track official and stage .
light come down i get a .000 reaction time - 1.79 60 foot -
truck is finally making a decent run and i see some thing besides the
back of a the syclone truck i have been racing .
and then i think about mr butthead and the truck noses over hard -
i look at the tach 6100 rpm i am late on the shift to third -
the truck finally recovers after probably 1-1.5 seconds 13.23
shoulda woulda coulda been a 12.70ish run

4rth pass : wait in line , calm down about mr butthead , then about
10-15 minutes before its time to run a car heavily oils down the track
and its to late in the evening for the track to claen it up .no more runs

summary : hoses that never blew off did , 1 track official a butthead .
i cut a good light and blow the only decent run . still had a good time
with help from fellow syty folks

robert's truck from sweden is well prepared and runs awesome .
there was only a couple of cars there faster than his bottom 9's
and none looked as sedate and sinister sneeky as his .
can't wait for saturday racing .

Track Officials 1 Tater 0 Lol... I've never been hassled about laptops... this is the first track that I've had trouble with.. (weird)

How'd saturday turn out for you? hope you had more luck,

friday ended up being my " good " day

i finally got the intecooler pipe to stay on but
my laptop was dead so no info or chipping ability
intercooler pump had no power
the truck needed alot more timing
but i didn't break it so it is just a matter of time to
get this combo sorted out .

my friend descibes my determination like this
"you'll pull all the hair off a dog just to make sure it has no fleas "

i'll figure it out

I did get 1 past him... then he got me the second time.

So, Nazi 4, Sy/Ty/Buick 1.

i was looking at my time slips and
although the truck did not perform i was "lucky"
on my reaction times .
.059 green
.000 green
.159 a little late
.060 red
and then a couple of trying higher boost launches
and just sat there till i was ready

next time i will be better prepared on how the truck runs
