Turbo sounded great last night boosted just fine. Take off this morning boost good runs strong just sounds like a supecharger with a k&n. Check the usuals quickly and notice the intake still attached and no loose vac lines. I guess it's possible vac leak in the cab behind pass dash but this whine is loud. Haven't checked shaft play yet... Any ideas?

If you still have the stock crossover tube on the intake make sure it hasn't developed a crack... next step would be ingesting a piece of plastic through the turbo.

not exactly. search for my stg 1 upgrade. 20g requires a converter and by the time your done it's still a pig and not as fast as mine.

I have a 20G and it seems to do pretty well. Looks completely stock too. I think the smaller exhaust housings don't require as much stall. Waller would know better than me. I think I paid around 900 for mine brand new 6 years ago ?

My Sy's 20g sounded like a supercharger as well while in boost. It progressively got louder and louder as time went on. Turned out to be a cracked fin on the compressor wheel which thru the wheel out of balance. A cracked exaust manifold wouldn't cause that sound.
