Ok.. Now I know this isnt prob the best way of goin about gettin a approx 0-60 time but I did a launch and counted how long it took to get to 60mph and it was an average of 7 seconds (from 4 trys) Now this is slooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..... So shuld I not base it on my counting and try a didjital timer or just get ballz and goto the track (to prob get humiliated) I dunno.........

1. dont beat on it and it will like you better
2. are you locking up the TC?
3. are you following this ?

from adam:

for the launch technique...quick version:

1. stage into the tree
2. put truck in nuetral
3. press down on brake HARD, give truck one big REV, brake pedal should settle down farther..
4. let RPM come down...slide truck into D or OD (your choice, everyone will tell you diffrent) while STILL ON THE BRAKE.
5. as the tree drops, bring up RPM while still on the brake.... see green and release brake and stomp on it as hard as you can.

no im not beating on it.. and when it launches it feels like the front tires wants to come off the ground. I have only launched the TY 7 times. And have gotten on it one tie on the freeway from 60mph till 110 then immediatly backed down. But I think that counting is not even close to the real time.. lol

oh yea how do u lock up the TC... i dont know how to do this.. thanks

Do you have Datamaster or Diacom? If not a bunch of the michigan guys do including me. You should convince Al Dustan to have another meet  Then we can all help you out at once.

Rick, you just need a better stop watch or a g-tech meter.

I forgot what the truck ran 0-60 but it pulled consitant 1.58/1.60 __60'
It also ran a good 13.18 / 12.98 in the 1/4.

Keep the trans cooler until you get another one - if that is what you decide to do. It is silly to pull it off and not run one at all - if you already have one.

As far as your scientific method of seeing 0-60 times - it probably isn't the best. It is possible that it is taking that long - it could be longer. It is hard to tell. Find someone in Michigan with Datamaster and hook it up - see what you are doing. You might have knock which is slowing you down. I am sure you are going to tell me - "I can't hear any knock" I don't care - get a scantool.

But, you might not be as slow as you think. There are quite a few guys in Michigan that can help you out. Bucha nice people up there.

Rick, Al Dustan has got a baseline program on file for your Typhoon.

It will show if anything has changed since you bought it.
The tune that Al has is from when the truck ran it's best times.

I'd help if I wasn't sitting here with a broken leg and collar bone.

F*&^ing boom lift fell over on me and a co-worker.

I'll be recovering for awhile, I don't plan on driving the truck until next spring.
