Yeah, I went to go pick up a check from a high class raqcuet club, since I plow thier parking lot, and as I am parking htere are two old ladys and a younger girl standing there. So I get out and just as I am getting to the door to go inside, I hear one of the old ladys say "this thing is either a big pile of crap or it will do 60 in reverse". :rant: I turned around and looked and they were looking right at my truck. The other one said "Oh Im sure its junk". I couldnt believe my friggin ears!! I wasnt even out of hearing range yet, you would think they wouldve atleast waited til I got inside. They re lucky I have a professional relationship with the establishment or I wouldve had to break some skulls. No, I wouldve said somethign to them though, I thought it was just plain mean.

not everybody likes old collectible quick suv's. You did the right thing by letting the old bitties think they know what they are talking about.Do the right thing and go "nail" one of their granddaughters.

I have respect for my elder's (or anyone for that matter) right up to the point they show they don't deserve it...... then I comment accordingly. My comment would have been equal to there's expept refering to them being "the old pile of crap". Hell you should have told them that at least you can drive your pile of crap, who would want to "drive" them (of course I have no class, mind you)?

Yeah in the icy parking lot...No. Like I said, I work for this place so I behaved. Sometimes I dont know when to draw the line but when it comes to being professional and my business I really am concious of what I do.

I would have told them "in 10 years my truck will still be alive and kicking.....will you?" Than mentioned that it is a rare truck, and the fastest suv EVER built!!! I hate ignorant people, young or old.

I generally use those sort of comments as an invitation to have them justify them. And you can still be professional while doing it.

Go up to the ladies and ask if you heard correctly. Then politely tell them you're confused by their remarks and watch them try to explain it. Now you get to test their knowledge on automotives and, since they're not qualified to know what they're talking about after you tell them the vehicle was produced in limited quantity directly through the factory, they'll begin to make haste. That's when you get to make a comment about them not being quite as sophisticated as they though they were if you're not satisfied with the burn up to that point.

Honestly,to 99.9% of people,a Typhoon is just a crappy old Blazer with ground effects.

When I was driving around Colorado Springs people just look at you funny anyways. Then there is that one guy that makes an effort to get out of his car and walk over in the snow because he knows what a typhoon is. The one that says " HOLY S&^T that a real TY" "I've always wanted one!"
