Re: Nationals 12. Denver, CO

And to the complainers, Lebanon Kansas is the geographical center of the country, and Denver is only 356 miles away (versus 787 for BG).

You are correct but the mean center of U.S. population is actually Phelps County, Missouri.
This really has nothing to do with them topic, I just thought I would throw it out there.

I've never been to Denver (besides in their airport when I fly Fronteer). I hope to be there for Nats12!

its not the population you need to look at its the majority of truck owners location, the east coast guys (naste) are the guys who appear at most events, the indiana area guys are a close second

I'm there. Whats funny is it shows that its going to take me a little longer to get to Denver than it did for me to go to Bowling Green. More than Half the time will be driving in the state I live in. Total 15 Hours

Well....it looks like I'm flying up to Denver this weekend with a couple of buddies to eat at Famous Daves on Friday....then we're suppose to be heading to Winter Park on Saturday and flying back out on Saturday night...... Should be a fun trip. Plane tickets were pretty damn cheap....lol

I think I should be able to make it out there for a little fun. I will most likely trailer out, and depending on which trailer I use I may have room for a second truck to come along for anyone around me or that's on the way.

And has a date been set, or did I overlook it when reading through the thread?

What if my truck broke out there? A trailer spot back?

Yea. Has a date been set? I've got to fill out next years vacation soon. Summertime fills out quickly. Once vacation schedules are filled, summer is usually unavailable.

I'd say as long as there's room on the trailer I'd have no problem with that.

Even if I go with a single trailer, and mine doesn't break, I'd be willing to give up the trailer to someone who needs it (within reason)

No one ever called it a West Coast National.

Its 600 miles and about 9 hours further west than it has ever been. No matter where it is located some one is going to complain.

For those of us on the East Coast, Denver CO isn't really drivable, much like KY & KS isn't drivable from CA. I would personally recommend that you take advantage of the west location if you can as the plan is to do an every other year Nats with alternating East and West meets. The SyTy Nats is really fun event.

this is true, very few of the rust belt guys show up at anything but homecoming.. just like very few of the california guys.. you would think both groups would be on the other side of the country ;)

X2. I would bet that if the turn out is poor there would not be another westernish/midwestern SyTy Nats!:2cents: Put up or shut up time.

Plus its a really great time.

Its 2400 round trip for me. 10mpg towing a gooseneck big enough for the sy and ty, so 240 gallons. At $3.30 ave fuel cost ill be paying about $800 in fuel just for the trip. I dont see that happening for me.

someone should start a poll and see how many trucks are going. I can just see spending all that money on gas and having 15 trucks show up.
