Anyone near Alfred, Maine? Or does anyone know anything about the Blue/Grey Typhoon for sale up there? Let me know please if you know of anything or if this truck is near you and can be inspected.

Also, those of you in New Jersey:
Anyone know about the 92 Green/Grey Ty there #1712?

BTW its NH/ME, VT is another state over. Its not too far into ME, jjorgenson is probably the closest. My sister has a winter vacation home in ME and I pass through/near alfred but I am not going that way for at least a month.... Unless their is a lurker, I don't think their is anyone really close to their.

Just word of warning given its miles and the salt belt area, I would be carefully of rust.

One plus is he claims he still has the stock wheels. That would be an immediate switch then sell the ones that are on it now. Stereo too. It'd have to go.

I'm an hour and a half away from Alfred. I haven't got any time to be road tripping though, I've got to go back to school tomorrow :tdown: . If you happened to catch VermontTy at his inlaws in Tilton he's not to far away either :2cents:

I'm not sure about the truck in West Orange but I could take a look at it for you one of these days. Smaug might know the person though, since he does know a little old lady (I'm serious here) with a Green Ty up in this general area.

The little old lady with the green/green truck will never sell it.. so its not her (plus she lives in Randolph)

As for the west orange truck, I'm sure tim or I could check it out, maybe even derek.. we are all sort of local to it.. just make sure your are seriously interested in it as to not waste anyone's time.

Wouldn't be a waste of anyones time. I'm not going to ask anyone to go unless I am serious. I was VERY close to getting that 93 Ty in Indianapolis until JJ and Josh were able to get it to the shop and it had MASSIVE issues such as the front suspension, misfires, fluid leaks, etc. What I was going to offer him he wouldn't take. :(
Not looking for a project truck that right after I get it I am going to have to pull the engine and do $4000 worth of repairs to just to get it safe to drive.

The wheels are bad but the truck looks good. I wonder what the OE color was.

Not yet. I try and find out if there are people in the area first, see if they know the truck and whatnot. Then I try and contact the owner to gather information about the truck. This way it kinda keeps anyone from wasting their time, because if I can't look at a truck personally then I'd like for someone who is familiar with the trucks to look at them, and if there is noone in the area, unless its a really spectacular truck, then I'm not going to be interested (Since they say if something seems too good to be true, than it probably is, hence the Indy Ty). I am going to email him today. Called the guy in Maine about his truck, but have yet to hear anything from him. :tdown:

I live about twenty min from alfred, go to shows etc all summer, never seen that ty before... if you hear from the guy soon i might be able to go check it out some sunday afternoon for you..

I'm about 45 min. from Alfred and I've never seen that one, Its funny, I've had mine for almost 7 years now and I've only seen 2 in the 7 years, they are very rare around here

here's mine, bought it in 99 for 14,500 with 60 K it now has 93 K, I haven't used it in about a year, I'm thinking of selling it in the spring time "worth more then"

I'm 5 minutes from WO. It's a 50/50 town (50 decent 50 questionable) I do not know the dude nor have I seen the truck.

Not sure if I can help you out until next month-been working 60+hours (in as five day work week)

WO is right off of I280 FWIW.

i called about the truck in nj it is well what i was told sold so iguess thats it. he said he would call me if it fell through but he never called
