I had clear lines for years and never had any issues. I posted pics in this thread but not sure what happened to them. I installed clear lines on a few other trucks and over the years they looked just fine.
No, I'm not thinking about IAT temps that hot, I'm thinking about the coolant temp when it returns to the lower CAC... that's where it would be hottest.
Yes, I used to see 130-140 coolant temps on the hot side. Before I went A2A, I plumbed a temp sensor in a T into the return line and ran a gauge to monitor it.
