Need Datamaster In Kansas!!!

hello all,
is there anyone who has a big enough heart to go look at a typhoon is SE Kansas sometime possibly around the 18th of march? its not set in stone, but theres good chances ill be travelling from IN, with a wealth of headknowledge and checklist, but datamaster would be awesome, after all I dont want to throw my money away!! either post here or PM me please. If anything is possible let me know for sure!

Hey, I've got only a few months actual experience with my Ty, but I've been lurking here for years. I have a laptop with Datamaster on it, but I'm not super familiar with Datamaster or tuning yet. Also I'm wondering how I could use it to get a run from another truck w/o taking the ALDL adapter cable out of my Ty.

I believe the Ty you're referring to is in Coffeeville? Coffeeville is a good 2 hours from here and maybe there are some OK SyTy'ers closer? Anyhow, let me know where it is and we'll see.

If someone has thoughts on how to get a Datamaster run w/o having to cut the ALDL adapter from the ALDL connector in my Ty, I'd be interested to hear that.

yep! thats the one,ive really done my research on this one, and things look like they could come together at the end of next week. So anybody out there? I know Im asking you all to do something for someone you dont even know, but it would really mean alot!!

IMHO, you don't need datamaster when buying or testing a Syclone or Typhoon, especially if you have some experience driving one. If you have a check engine light or driveability problems, and still want to buy the truck, then it could be helpful.

The buyer's guide at http://www.syty.org/old/buyers.html is still a good resource.

That being said, I will be home on March 18th, if you want to bring it by. I'm probably about 2 hours away.

I'm guessing your Datamaster is soldered or connected to the back of the ALDL. You can get a parallel cable, and strip the wires back. Modify a couple of spade terminals to fit your aldl terminals. Solder or crimp it all together, and you have it.

That's a good idea Jim. Cut em and make them into quick disconnects. Nice.
