I'm in middletown, NJ down by the shore and am in need of some type of mechanic to help me with my ty. I have a couple problems and would like to get them worked out a.s.a.p.

If any of you mechanically inclined motorheads have time to waste looking at my truck or wanna see whats wrong with it look at my post under How to Mod/Repair.

Finding someone around here that even knows or wants to work on ty's is impossible

Not sure where you are with your situation, but if you feel like flat bedding it up North to West Paterson Amoco. I think these guys play with turbo Buicks, Sy/Tys.

I have no idea of their reputation/work, but they usually have something in their lot getting worked on. I use to live around the corner from them & I recently inquired about them doing a frame swap on my Tyclone.

Can't hurt to call :

West Paterson Amoco & Performance Inc.
374 Rifle camp road
West Paterson NJ 07424

Jim Cropanese

Good Luck

I haven't had my truck up for sale in a long time. I've been laying low lately trying to get all them problems worked out before putting it back up for sale. I blew the transmission again and had aamco do it over under warranty. While it was there they hit the rear bumper and when it came out it shifts too late and has an extreme vibration under load when taking off. I have a bad motor mount getting fixed this week so im hoping thats it.

The auto body shop had to paint is twice because they must be blind. And after all thats done i have to finally get my electric problem fixed. I have no tach, speedo, odometer and a dim low turbo coolant light on.I bought a s10 and havent done much driving in the ty because of all the b.s. Hopefully i can get her back together soon and run it once before i sell it.

You could try

Steve Kaminski
Williamstown NJ
(856) 881-3235

I met him last night for the first time while picking up my friends gn. Really nice guy, knows his stuff about gns and seems to know it about our sytys. He has owned a few tys in the past and offered to do just about any kinda work for them including tunning and custom chips. His shop had multiple tys and one sy, a few turbo tas and a ton of turbo buicks.

I'm going to give him a shot after the holidays with my sy.

well kinda, he worked there a fews day a week but mostly worked at radical racing next door. He left 1/4 mile performance when the owner.. I think his name is craig started fucking around and ripping people off. He left and started doing work out of his own garage.

well if it was over a year ago, then it was in the hands of Fred Vetter, and I would be scared to know what he did to it.
