Need Shocks for 93 Ty w/ELC

I've searched the archives, and it's probably there somewhere, so I apologize for a new thread.

I would like to keep the stock ride quality of the Ty. I have the stock rims and stock ride height. And, I want the Electronic Level option :)

Can someone please let me know who/where/how I can get rear shocks to accomodate this? The consensus on the fronts seems to be the KYB's.

My mechanic friend is going to replace the shocks on his rack, is it any harder to change the control arm bushings?

thanks list

Yes its a lot harder to do control arm bushing than shocks. Control Arm bushing means the whole suspesnsion basically has to come apart and be realigned. Shocks just bolt in without removal of anything else.

The rear shocks are the only ones that are ELC.
Basically you can replace them with any type of Air shocks.
Gabriel seems to be the choice when keeping the ELC.
If you ditch it then the KYB monomax would be my first choice for eceonmy.
Bilstein if you have the cash to spend.

The front shocks are nothing special, again monomax or KYB.

Control arm bushings are a PITA due to removing both upper and lower control arms, and everything that has to come off before them.
If you are doing control arms then may as well do all the ball joints, idler and sway bar bushings while its apart.

Thanks for the quick info guys -

So I could buy the KYB monomax front 565458 and KYB gas adjust KG5451, and have a stock ride quality, electronic leveled 93 Typhoon?

Actually, the Monomax's in the front will improve ride quality over stock by a small amount. In the rear, I don't believe you can go with any aftermarket shocks while keeping the ELC functionality. Mike's offer is probably your best bet.
