My. 92 typhoon. Has. A. Long. Crank. Starting issue. Mostly when cold start up. This is what ive done. Checked fuel pressure. Its. 35 runining at idle. W fuel preesure reg hose off. About 45 psi. Then. Engine off. Key on off. Its at. 42 psi. Ive pinched off. The return. And. Pressure lines at the rubber. Lines. Checked. To make sure there wasnt a delay. W. Spark at crank. Starts sparking as soon. As you. Start cranking. . Also checked base timing w brown wire disc. Its right on. . Its has a newer fpr on a nos gm one. Plugs a werechanged 800 miles ago. The fuel pressure. Will go down. If it sits. Awhile. Once is starts. It runs well no mods on it. Has 103000 miles. Im totaly stumped !

Is it just slower to start than what you are used to on other vehicles? Does it take 3 or 4 seconds to start or crank a lot longer than that then start? The reason I ask is that almost every one I have owned cranks for a few seconds before they start. For some reason they do not want to crank right up. Just throwing that out there. It seems to do that on cold start also and usually the truck fires right up once operating temp has been reached. See if you can turn the key to on then off a couple of times then see if it will start faster. My trucks usually would. If this is the same starting problem you are having I don't know what the fix is. I just put up with it figuring they all did it.

No it takes a at least. 4 or 5 trys to start almost acts as if its flooded. But. May be like its no fuel. Im going to try a hint a starting fluid and see it it takes. Right off

Yeah that is very hard starting. It would not hurt to do the starter fluid as a test.

Have you checked to see if any code were stored in the ECU?

Low voltage to fuel pump, battery going out or weak fuel pump are what I would check for.
Factory wiring leaves a lot to be desired.

Slightly depressing gas pedal increases voltage to fuel pump circuit. If that helps, fuel pump is going out.
Maybe go from battery straight to fuel pump test wire in engine bay?
