If the owner's willing to sell it, let me know. I know a guy looking for one that's not GT Silver, and he's got cash in hand.

Shoot me a PM with his info, there's 2 of them for sale actually...

Are you sure you didn't get some bad gas? I had a friend who drove his 1968 mustang to work one night and called me when he got home and said he thought it jumped timing or something, because after he left a gas station he hardly got it home. It did a similar thing, and he was sure something was seriously wrong with it. I said I would try a some heat in the gas. He dumped some in and a few minutes later it ran perfectly. Just a thought

Even if there is straight piss in the fuel lines,it should hold pressure .

I'm thinking its the fuel pump, it should hold pressure after you turn the truck off, factory fuel pump? If so I bet it's time for a new pump. If your not in the rust belt you should be able to just get away with the pump and not a sending unit also. Don't re-use the old pump hose or anything if you end up doing the pump. Use all new hardware and buy a walboro 255 or a stealth pump. All come with new hardware and watch out for the cheap chinese knock off walboros on eBay , I know it might be tempting but do.t buy them. Glws!

Well, an inch and a half piece of hose ruined the day.
The small piece between the pump and the line actually split. Put a new pump in while I was there, set the base press to 50, (it has an Ultimate and 3 bar), and it runs like new...

Glad to hear that you got it figured out :). About five years ago, there was a rash of problems with fuel pumps getting the wrong hose in kits. This is what happens when the incorrect fuel line is used for this application:

rotted_fuel_hose_1.jpg

The correct fuel line is spec SAE J30R10 and can be IMMERSED in gasoline. If not, it won't last. SAE J30R9 which is for inline use, is only meant to have gasoline on the *inside* NOT the outside.

Had that exact thing happen on a '96 Hummer, but the hose was split so bad that the metal tube didn't even line up with the pump at all anymore. It surprisingly still ran most of the time.
