Ok i just finished installing a bunch of items: Cap&rotor plugs wires, walboro fuel pump, fuel filter, KB fpr, KB cai, Ultimate chip....thats about all that is related. Ok i didnt get time to really trouble shoot yet just trying to get a feel of where to start. Here is the problem. Put the key in...dash lights up, fuel pump turns on (hear it), turn the key and i get the normal sound of the engine turning....then it slows (like hte battery is about to die)....then it sounds normal again....and repeats. The engine turns over maybe 4-5 times normal then 2-3 times slow. I have fuel pressure (reading from the gauge), i have battery voltage, all the plugwires are in the right place (check about 300 times before starting), everthing looks ok. So what you would guys suggest. I was thinking of starting with a check of the cap&rotor (taking it off and reinstalling). Well thats where i am at. Ill be working on it all day sat.

Did you use a 3 bar map sensor?
Did you piggyback the chip?
Did you move the battery/wires around?
Did you move the starter/wires around?
Do the lights dim when the motor speeds up & slows down?
Do you have spark at the plugs?
Do you have decent fuel pressure?
Are you sure of the plug routing?

I am an idiot (a very happy idiot right now). I was looking at the cap on the wrong angle and had every plug wire one space over to the right. Maybe thats the reason (sarcazim). Fixed it started it and it is smoother then ever. I am so hype now. Now i just have to rewire the shitty ass KB gauge cluster and i am set.

Hey Bundaho its good to hear you have it running, I have one question you mention a kb gauge cluster is this the one that fits in the console. If it is would you be able to send me some pics of it, I was going to buy it but I already have the gauges and they would only sell it with gauges. Hope you have fun.
