willing to pay good money!!!

Dan, Im not looking to try and make money off anybody. If I knew I could get another one all I would ask is for it to be replaced. But like I said it seems these are increasingly hard to get a hold of.

Re: NEEDED! 4L80 to t-case input shaft

THEMADTYPHOON came through with borrowing me his so i can have it duplicated,i usually don't like to "steal" someone else s design or part by having it reverse engineered they reproduced but I feel i have given the vender in this situation every possible way to make things right by simply producing the part that was already paid for. That being said as long as we are making 1 we may make a few more and sell them to members of the community that are in the same situation as me,if anyone is interested i will keep this post updated so I can let everyone know the time frame and pricing, thanks again for all the help to everyone

Yeah, mine didn't even last 30 seconds once they knew it was up for sale, then I had two others within 5 minutes of that wanting it. Guess I didnt ask enough for it..lol.

I'd venture to guess, if they heat treat it to ~40-50 HRC, with splines, etc. right at $500 each cost at machine shop.

fwiw, no deposit or payment was ever received and there was never any eta or promise of when we would make more. I'm sorry for any miscommunication, but i can't see anywhere in our email correspondence which would have lead you to believe anything different.

For the last 2-3 years people have complained why they were so expensive, but now that they are gone, many of us (myself included) would easily pay full price for one. I'll still buy some for what i used to sell them for, only because i don't feel like spending another $15k to let them sit on the shelf for a few more years.

The only other place i know that has made them in the past quoted me $650ea with a 10 shaft minimum order and 8-12 weeks leadtime. 50% deposit upfront. Hopefully the OP comes up with something cheaper or better as i don't like seeing your unfinished projects any more then you do.

Under 500 is the price point on these. At this price they are a "good to have" item and will sell more. At 650 they are in the "I will think about it" category...
