Hi all I am wondering if anyone is still using there needham chip burner? If so could you take a look at the power supply for it? I misplaced mine and want to try burning a chip and need it now.
I believe I know where it buried in my storage, literally buried so I have no way of getting it till I move.

I just want to know how many volts etc it is so I can try and find one that would work for it.

Thanks!

I have an EMP-11, which I believe uses the same power supply as the EMP-10. My supply is rated at 12 VAC, 1000 mA. Yes, it says AC, not DC, which might make finding a replacement a little tricky.

If you can't find one easily, you could try the manufacturer. My power supply is labeled:
Condor
Tel: (408) 745-7141
Plug In Class 2 Transformer
Model No: A12-1A
Input: 120V 60Hz 18W
Output: 12VAC 1000mA

BTW, do you know if Needham's is still in business? I just tried their old web site, and it isn't working.

Thanks so much for the info thats exactly what I was looking for.

I looked for a needham website and couldnt find one as I was thinking I could possibly just get one from them.

Re: Needham Emp-10?

Needhams closed a couple months ago. I've been using a 12v DC 500ma power supply for a couple years with my EMP-11. It's gets used alot.

Re: Needham Emp-10?

A 12v DC supply will work in an AC app, provided the plug polarity is correct. The internal rectifier will drop the voltage by .7, but it'll work.

Find an old USRobotics external modem.... they were 12v AC, usually.

Output: AC 12v 1000mA
P/N 12-1A
