Neglected Synoma GT #0264

I've neglected the SoGT for so long that I felt guilty looking at it. So, I tuned, washed and waxed it to try to revive the enthusiasm to work on this truck. The build is supposed to be minimal $. Parts are mostly Sy hand-me-downs and used/rebuilt parts. Not building anything crazy. Just something fun to drive anywhere/anytime and not have to worry about it.

Build plan includes:
- Stock W block and L35 heads
- Stock Sy intake manifold and fuel injection
- Modified Sy turbo, modified downpipe and modified intercooler
- RPM stainless exhaust
- Ty ECM and engine harness
- Polished Sy rims
- Z06 & LS1 brakes
- Belltech suspension
- CRL powrlite rear window
- Wise Bedrug
- Pace Edwards roll-up tonneau cover

Hopefully, it won't take 5+ years to update this thread. :rotf:

Yeah.. Serious. I wonder what a well kept, clean, mint condition truck would be if that's a neglected one?:lolefinately a nice start!

I tried looking around for a roller SGT in decent shape but they're just not around. There was a nice white \ white one with Sy cladding in CT years ago but I don't know where that one went. If I find a decent one for the right money I'll grab it. Pretty sure I have everything necessary to drop a turbo Sy motor in one.

The post above is 10 years old and the truck has been frozen in time. It just sits in a garage collecting scrapes, dings and spider webs. The only maintenance it's received is a new distributor, battery and tires. A day of cleaning has brought back the shine, but it needs a lot of maintenance. Compared to the Sy, it's definitely neglected.

Aloha V, the sgt looks great. Thouse sound like fun simple taskes to accomplish, let me know if you need any help. Don't forget I would deffently buy your CRL Window if you change your mind
