Will, Dobrick, and I went to the sport truck shootout this weekend in London Ky. It was hot as could be, but well worth the trip.

First time I have run the truck with the intercooler having water in it. I should really say ICE. I was seeing 90deg IAT temps on a 90 deg day. Try to do that with an Air/Air. Due to lower IAT though my AFR was a bit lean, so kept throwing more fuel in it. Last pass we really threw the ice in, which in turn made the AFR go lean again. Truck still ran well.

Will's ls motor ran but just wasn't ready for boost. Not worth risking an expensive motor trying to rush it.

I was able to do some wicked AWD burnouts, did I mention they were all filmed by Trucks TV and we hung out with Kevin and Ryan from teh show friday and saturday?

I should also mention we both did interviews for the show (pics to come).

We will be setting up a time for autographs at the next syty event.

Kevin interviewed both of us about our trucks, asked a few questions. Hopefully I don't look too much like a goof on tv. I am wearing my syty nats 10 shirt.

Before we left I took Ryan for a ride, boost launch leaving about 40ft of rubber, then threw him the keys to drive back. Both guys are really cool. I will admit I thought they were just TV guys, but they are far from that. Both true auto guys, know cars and just normal people. It was a really cool experience.

They both told me after my burnouts they are talking about doing an AWD project next, and want us to stay in touch after both our trucks get fully dialed in.

Pics to come when Will gets home. Air date will be sometime in Oct/Nov. It will be the episode they run the 454 and Lighting projects head to head. (both trucks were there also but couldn't be run due to insurance).

nice, so that txt was from you yesterday!

I figured you didn't know who it was, made the text that much better.

My best 1/4 yesterday was 11.56 @ 115 still on 7psi boost.

And what he is not telling you is that London is a "altitude track". Slow, Slow. Normally it is .2 slower than Bowling Green. His 2 ton plus Ty will be a low 11's high 10 second player at a lower altitude track with cooler air temps!

Not bad. Especially with Jeff's A.D.D.

Those TV guy´s realy got ahold of the right "SyTy gang" to get the SyTy storie from too.

And a realy good ET on low boost, if Jeremy is right about the altitude to ( and why should´nt he be? hes a experience racer is´nt he :D) the U will be a fast Ty driver/owner soon Jeff.

Congrats from us here in Sweden ..

Considering what you look like normally, I think it's a foregone conclusion...
It's TV, not a magic box.

Just so you feel better I did ask them if they had any special effects or editing capability to do that. If I remember the response was putting my head on Kevin's body.

Congrats on the times, I was hoping to see you run but unfortunately I missed it. Maybe I'll get to see it on national television  . I talked to you for a few minutes in the park on Friday. I'm the one who sold the Sy to a guy in Cal.

Cool, yep I remember.

Next year I think we need to get some more syty's there. It was a good event and nice change to see some other trucks.

I agree, I think anyone could have a good time with this bunch. This was our first year and we had a great time, everyone was really friendly. We'll be back next year for sure, and hopefully bring something that can make a decent pass down the track as well.
