New but soon to be former Ty owner...

First post here, but have been a member of Turbobuick, I picked up a red/gray '93 Ty a couple months ago off here. Real nice condition, basically stock and only 62k.

But, not really enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I love how roomy it is inside, takes off like a bat outta hell off the line, but it just might be the fixed roof. I also have a '87 GN and '02 Z28 (both with t-tops) and a Jeep Wrangler. I guess I really enjoy the open airness more than I thought.

So while I'm new, I'll be a former. It's a very cool truck, and I like it's exclusivity. But as it turns out, it's just not for me.

So if anybody is looking for a good price on a clean truck, let me know!

I'm pretty sure this is Fighting5thSVT's old truck...damn man you barely owned it. Sucks that it wasn't what you hoped it would be and GLWS!

Yes, that was his truck, #87. He took very good care of it. I'm disappointed myself, it looks awesome sitting in the garage with the GN, but it's not worth owning if it's just going to sit.

I do plan on driving it out to Waveland Ave. next month.

I think that the SyTy's are badass, and it is one of the coolest trucks made.

I really never imagined that it (fixed roof) would be a deterrent to driving, i can't put my figer on it really, but I just don't enjoy driving it. If it were a daily driver, I could live with it. I bought it for recreation and fun, and am not getting that enjoyment from it.

No worries...you are not the first (nor will you be the last) person who has been disillusioned after buying a Typhoon. I've said it before - they feel archaic compared to the older GN's which somehow seem more refined, lighter, and at times, more fun.

I, for one, appreciate your honesty. It's not what you anticipated and that's fine. Good luck with selling it...I remember the truck and it's a beauty...you should have no trouble selling it.

Someone is going to get a very, very clean truck. Post some pix and your phone will begin ringing.

Post some nice pics of the TY ..........!!

I would, but I do not what to get in trouble. I understand that I don't meet the post count to officially sell anything on here, and don't wish to get kicked off for trying.
