Hello and happy new year!
Iam from Beaumont, AB and the newest addition to the Typhoon owners group.
After some searching I finally found a Ty with the help of an Edmonton member that I really liked and bought: Ty No: 2162; a USA to Japan, to Alberta, to Saskatchewan and now back to Alberta rust free beauty.
Here are some pics and the upgrades/changes that have been already done to it - those and the condition were the main reasons for buying since more or less I wld have done the same mods anyway. And rust free with a really good condition interior.
Read a lot already on this site and currently working of the `Must To Do List`....
Black w/black, unpainted cladding and black leather, Original no roof rack truck!
around 56000 Miles, ASC Power Sliding Sunroof that surprisingly does not leak so far, nor cld I find traces of previous leaks anywhere - we will see after the first heavy rain!
Upgrades..
13" front 12" rear C5 Corvette brakes, with cross drilled/slotted rotors
QA1/Turbo Time adjustable Coilovers up front, and Belltech 3" drop leafs and 1" blocks in the rear with QA1 adjustable shocks in the rear as well.
18" C6 Z06 Hyperblack rims 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear 245/40/18 and 285/35/18 Sumitomo HTR Z II Tires
"Code 59" tunning with moates.net Ostrich emulator, 3 bar map sensor and PLX wideband o2
Upper intercooler hard pipe with Tial 50mm BOV
H4 Conversion Headlights with 6000 HID'
Magnaflow stainless muffler
Pioneer CD player, a pair of phoenix gold 6.5 components in the kick panels
New Waterpump, New Valve Seals, New distributer cap, and rotor,
new upper and lower rad hoses, all new vacuum lines, EGR delete, new battery, new alternator
Parts sitting in box waiting to be installed, ABS delete (its already disabled), Boost Gauge, Trans Temp gauge, Trans & Oil cooler.
Planned: new wires and coil, new spark plugs, engine hold down strap, ditch the crossover air filter, fuel pump (&hot wire kit)& regulator, shaft loops front and rear, rear diff girdle, upgraded prop-shaft,
Not sure yet: either air-to-air intercooler conversion or do the needed mods to the original one...
So lots to do and no time/money to do it....
Have the original rims, centercaps and tires in very nice condition for sale since they don't fit anymore with the big brakes!
So I will be searching a lot here in the hunt for parts and infos and eventually post a list of hotrod parts (mostly rare ones) that Iam willing to part with in order to free some funds for the Ty.
And of course post updates on the progress and success !
