Welcome to the boards Jimmy  Nice to know CO got a truck back after giving so many away

As far as MHST goes (Mile High Sy Ty), you'll find:

Austin hosts most of the meets in Littleton.

Only because I'm the one organizing them. I think Geoff will have one at the beginning of summer, and Mike will host one towards the end of summer.

Re: New Colorado Syclone #2118

thanks!

I live in Arvada, basically 72nd & Alkire (near Apex Center). I have seen another sy running around in Arvada - not sure if that person is on the boards or not.

Do you guys know if I need to do anything with the truck bringing it from basically 300' elevation to 5200'? The truck has a few mods on it like the 50lb injectors, Walbro pump, new fuel pressure regulator, T-57 waller turbo w/WG porting, 3 bar map sensor, Waller performance chip, ATR headers, Blitz SBC I-D boost controller, K&N air cleaner, and an exhaust dump. The truck seems to run real good but I have not got an emissions test yet and am a little concerned with the chip installed. I have heard that I should have the stock chip just for the emissions test (which I don't have). Anyway thanks for all your help.

I used to live on Alkire! Granted it was 6408 S Alkire St...

I'd get it emission tested with that chip, and then have a custom one burned for you

Or you could be a code 59 player with Mike and me! There are lots of posts here about code59 and autotune is pretty cool!

Not alot needed to start tuning it and it has autotune!

Hey T.J. (phoonTy) when was the last time you drove your truck? I drove mine to work today!

Needless to say a valvecover is leaking so I made a nice smokescreen but at least I am driving it!

I didnt realize you tune. Tuning is fun and you can do it yourself but you can also ruin things pretty quick if you dont a bunch of reading first or spend a day with some one to teach you how to do it.

I actually drove it last fall before it got cold. Looking forward to doing the steering shaft, hopefully this weekend and starting to trace the battery drain.

You bought a damn nice truck. Welcome.

Thank you very much! I have always been a syclone enthusiast but was never in a position to buy one with raising kids and sports. I really liked all the extras and all the hard work that this guy did to it, plus it only has 58K on it. He put an awesome Alpine DVD/TV audio system, amps, etc... really nice stereo system. Actually that was the selling point - I like to feel the music and this system bumps pretty good. The ZO6 brake upgrade is awesome. I am still learning about the truck, but with the help of this board it really makes it nice. I think I want to upgrade to some 18" ZO6 wheels though... I don't know still pondering on that one.

Do you know what wheels I have on there now? I know they are some type of 17" corvette wheel. Grand Sport...hum... I guess I will have to do a search to see what they look like, so why do you say the Grand Sport - Is it fit and width?

Those are wheels off of the '96 Corvette Grand Sport

Wikipedia said:
Grand Sport (1996)

Chevrolet released the Grand Sport version in 1996 at the end of C4 Corvette production. The "Grand Sport" moniker was a nod to the original Grand Sport model produced in 1963. A total of 1,000 Grand Sports were produced. The 810 coupes and 190 convertibles were produced with a special VIN sequence to differentiate them from the other 1996 C4 models. The 1996 Grand Sport was equipped with the LT4 engine, which produced 330 hp (246 kW) and 340 lb·ft (461 N·m) of torque. All LT4-powered Corvettes included a Grand Sport nameplate on the engine's throttle body. The Grand Sport came only in Admiral Blue with a white center stripe, distinctive black five spoke wheels, and two red hash marks on the hood above the left front wheel. Interior colors were black and red only. A hardtop option was not available with Grand Sport convertibles.
