Re: New guy from Chicago land area

Welcome, and as Ken mentioned I host a wrench session at least once a year, and we've had a few get togethers over the summer as well ( car show, and meet and eat at Frudruckers).I drove mine in the snow for 3 Chicagoland winters....and was fine with snow tires. Hoping you don't have to drive it in the winter tho

Honestly this is my daily driver. I have a 1967 gto and 1965 caprice that are my long term projects. For now the ty is my small project. When I bought her she had no front drive prop shaft in her. So that's the next project.

Re: New guy from Chicago land area

Hello Everyone,
I'm another new guy from Chicago. This is my first post. I'm up in the NW suburbs. I have a Syclone. Back in the day I bought a black Typhoon brand new and about 15 years ago I bought a white Typhoon that I drove for 5 years at least. I'd love to meet up with you guys in 6 weeks or so and compare trucks. My Syclone has had some mods and I'm not entirely sure what's been done. I'm counting on the local guys for some education. Thanks Vince

I don't do much of the car show thing. I'd definitely come out and see the other Sy's and Ty's. I do spend too much time at Road America, Autobahn and Blackhawk. I know there are some events at the site of the Old Meadowdale off of 31 I think I'll go to. Didn't you guys try to get together at Fuddruckers on Golf in the fall?

They have done a lot of work to Meadowdale over the Years. I went there last summer to walk the track and It has changed so much since I first went in 2009. It doesnt have the same "Ghost Track" feel to it But i do look forward to some of the cruises and shows there.

March 15. That's my prediction on when the snow and salt are gone. Here comes spring and out comes the vehicles. Do we have to get our trucks emissions tested? I hope not.
