New to this posting thing hopefully I am in the right place. Bought truck number 2721 a few months back and started to work on it. Glad there is a site like this for information on these trucks as they are alot different than my Buick. So I hope you Guy's can keep me straight.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: New guy here.

Welcome...

Basic Training:

Jackstands - check
R&R complete ignition system - check
Lose the stock crossover intake system - check
Balance Wheels-Tires - check
R&R front propshaft - check

When you save a few more bux, you can then R&R the transmission...

And if you're that far into it, mind as well toss in a set of motor mounts...

Post a pic of your first busted knuckle...

Re: New guy here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Site has alot of info for guy's like me. Motor build in process (truck has a dead hole. I still have the buick but has a hurt motor (trying to go fast on pump gas) and alky pump gave up the ghost. Good friend flying in from Germany later next month to put in a hand gernade motor and we will try it again (with new alky pump). Hopefully I won't ask to many dumb questions. Looking forward to learning and playing with the truck. Oh and I live in VA.
