If it sat, save yourself some headache, and shoot some GM heat riser lube on the WG arm while you're down there. You should be able to move it with a pinky, when it's moving free enough.

Ultimately, though, if the problem recurrs (mine's done it for years) when hot, you'll need to enlarge the flapper shaft boss.

i got "heat valve lube"....They said its the same thing. lets hope that is the case. should i just spray the snot out of it? or should i be gentle with it?

ok, here is an update:

the new glove box badge......

the new stereo (i ripped out all the old stuff, and rewired the WHOLE setup)

a decent shot of the PLX.............

wiped the truck down (i have YET to actually wash it, but after the cladding is painted, i will, and i will polish the snot outa it)..........

the hood will be repainted ASAP.....

i put on the new mirrors today also...........

i also replaced the antenna "washer" and painted the antenna......

took out the old fogs..............

then i compared them to the old ones....... (unreal: the difference)

hood, cowl and grill getting painted tomorrow..........

stickers off the back (factory "syclone" stickers will be back on soon.

thanks Tooky!!! i am working fast because of a show i have to drive to in OC MD by the end of the month. it is a VW show, but my corrado is in CT getting a full custom tune, so it will not be there. i will be taking the Sy in it's place, just for fun.

give me a few days, this thing will be TOTALLY different!!!

well, ordered the walbro, and afpr today, and the PLX wideband to daisy chain into the current gauge.

so, i installed the tonneau, and got ready for the pump (should be here tomorrow)

put in the new tails...........

BTW, this little trick (found on here via SEARCH) is EXCELLENT...........

it makes getting the pump out a breeze.

walbro, wideband, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, AFPR installed!!!!!!!!!

truck runs well, still trying to figure out what to do about the O2 sensor to the ECU.

any help is appreciated.......

thanks mike!! i need to get my boost under control, and i should be good to go for a while. (seeing 10-14 psi with the solenoid UNPLUGGED)

gonna lengthen the actuator arm today. fingers crossed.

i want to see 8 psi steady, then plug that mo fo back in and ses what happens.

I had a stock turbo with the WG puck entirely removed (ie, an open hole) that made 12 psi.
Granted, it was a very *slow* 12 psi....

Route a line from the outlet on the compressor directly to the WG canister... see what you get.

i will try that. is i still see the 10-14 spiking, the WG arm gets moved, and the actuator gets that "heat lube spray" from GM that i bought.

well, still seeing ~ 12 psi with the solenoid totally out of the equation. havent messed with the motor this weekend, but i did get this done.................


freshly painted grill, and the insert that coverd the radiator opening at the top of the grill...

freshly painted cowl, and wipers..............

cladding almost done, also freshly painted.............

getting closer............ i have 4 days to get the rest of the pop rivits in, the boost stable, and an O2 in there......... then CLEAN it cause it's filthy
