Bro, it is YOUR truck and you can do what you please with it (to include running dual stacks through the bed if you'd like). If you stay V6, people will hate on you...if you go V8, people will hate on you...if you leave it sit untouched, people will hate on you. Haters gonna hate regardless.

All the best whatever you decide.....IT'S YOURS
Thanks T-Bone

Don't forget a battery cutoff switch with your new build if the fire was electrical.
That reminds me, I'm gettin one before the purple people eater wire goes awry.
Nobody has to know you sport a V8.

I know, I know. Old posts yada, yada.

Shitty deal on the fire glad you where not injured as far as a LS swap I am not a fan, sorry it may be cheaper but in the end these trucks got there fame from the V6 awd turbo, do a LS swap on a blazer or s-10, if you want cheap and reliable I am not going to lie the LS swap is the way to go but if you want to turbo that LS you will need a 4L80E and thar swap will cost 4-7k dependent on parts and build

An ls build may be more reliable, but it is not cheap.

Re: New Sy owner... and she caught fire =(

So after careful consideration, I have finally decided to keep my Syclone it original 4.3L rather than doing the 5.3 LS1 swap I had been planning. I have already collected parts (turbo headers, modified oil pan, motor mounts, etc) that I am now having to sell. I tried listing the parts in the correct forum on this site, but I received a message that I don't have enough post?!? Can anyone advise me on what I can/should do? I bought the parts on this site (funny how there was no restrictions then) and I'm also a donating member... what gives?? Please advise
