new to community, looking for the "right" Ty

Hello! Looong time lurker, and fan of the Typhoon. I currently own a 2005 BMW M3 and would love to add a Typhoon, as I have had a long standing fascination with them, and would be excited to have a project. If an ULTRA clean, preferably black Typhoon becomes available, I would love to know about it... I live in Southern California, but would buy / ship from anywhere. Regardless - great reading about your trucks, and I hope to make it out to a local gathering if something is coming up :D

sorry, I should have been more specific. Looking for a super clean, (preferably stock) Typhoon with no story, no issues... as close to showroom condition as possible.

Man your timing is just a little off. One of the cleanest in socal just sold and the other one is in the process. Both black/black Tys. Good to see that some socal people are building interest in these trucks though. Hope to see you around the board and maybe at a meet. We are trying to put one together in the Western Members section.

good deal, I am in Newport Beach - always up for a meet. As far as finding a Typhoon goes, I am patient, the right one will come along. I found a 4,400 mile Syclone for sale in Arizona, tempting, but not a Typhoon. It's out there somewhere...

My M3. As for the guy looking to move to an E39 M5... fantastic motor, great car. Hope you find what you are looking for!

True. And by all means, don't limit your search to SoCal. I waited for the right Ty and went halfway around the world for it (okay, Alaska...but still!!).

Of course, in the meantime I had a Sy to have fun and get familiar with them...helps when you're looking. Lurking here can only do so much...only when you start having "the problems" can you truly learn the ropes. Good luck.

well, not exactly looking for an M5.... I need something a bit faster, but it will be built on an E39 platform ;)

That's what I learned. I lurked for the longest time reading about the quirks of these trucks before I bought mine so I kinda had an idea of what I was getting into. It's completely different when you own one and have to take care of them though. They are like children. They always need something. I swear my Camaro and my bike are so jealous right now because they are wondering when they are getting more toys. It's a worthwhile journey though. I'm having fun.
