Re: New Turbo Tech Site: www.PowerTunePlus.com, Ultimate BINs released
Wow, I'm thrilled with your responses!

I spent a looong time writing, editing, proofreading/revising and thinking about these pages so they would be complete and hopefully not misleading or confusing. It makes me very happy to hear the concepts are being understood.
Consider for example this excerpt of a lengthy page from a guy
selling chips for Turbo Grand Prixs (which has an ECM similar to ours):
What has it all been like? great and fortunately we enjoy the challenge of working on another forced induction engine, consider as an example the fueling equation that is used: "BPW(Base Pulse Width)= BPC*MAP*T'*A/F'*VE*F33A*BLM*DFCO*DE*CLT*F77" and that does not include PE or AE fueling (async-quasi async commands) or any other filter or variables throughout the cal. With this quote for fueling, it should be very apparent as to the comprehensive complexity of an OEM engine management system verses an aftermarket, and lends to the great ability at being successful at work out any fueling (or other controlling parameters) issues to the smallest detail.
When I first read that about 6 years ago, I felt like I was being "talked out of" attempting to do my own work (I have a Turbo Grand Prix too). I believe the BEST way to make your truck as fast as it can possibly be, is to become the master of your truck's tune! So the purpose of my site
is to help you do your own work!! I knew it had to be written in a more understandable format.
Not everyone wants to sit down and read a huge technical paragraph. Some guys learn better with visual images. Thats why I've split up the articles with charts, diagrams, photos, and a few racing videos to keep it from getting boring.
As far as more tuning - Notice the "Stages" page. I've only written a guide for "Stage 1" so far!

(How to Get a Stock Truck Deep in the 13's). That leaves plenty of room for more articles as I get time. Glad to hear there is already a demand. I had to lay the groundwork first, with Stage 1. Stage 2 will cover high octane fuel, high boost, and basic chips.
In fact, here's a preview of Stage 2 (this is my mental outline of what I hope to write):
If you guys have any more feedback/criticism, let's hear it (or send me an email, link on my website) and I'll keep it all in mind when I write the next stuff.
Finally about doing custom tunes, vendor stuff, etc. That is something I am open to but will play it by ear and see how things develop in the future. I would have thought "giving away the farm" would kill a market for custom tunes but it seems to have stoked the demand instead!
