Just got my first ty. 92 black Mc coy built motor vortex heads precision 44 with front mount MSD 50 shot and a few other things.Clean truck Corvette rims with Nitto drags all around.Don,t know much about the trucks feels quick has boost programmer and a tuner.Laid about 10 feet down with all four with no spray.Not as fast as the Buick T type but I have not tuned it just workin out the bugs.Plugs wires hoses ect.I think it will be a fun stoplight killer.Get thumbs up everywhere i go.Will need some tuning help when I try to turn it up.I run 25 lbs of boost on the Buick with the Alky kit runs low 11,s on stock motor with some bolt on,s.
How hard can i push this 4.3?

How hard can i push this 4.3?

If it has a 4 bolt splayed block with forged pistons and nitrated crank. About 650-700 at the wheels with a masterfull tune. Your not going to get that with a te-44 though.

Should be able to get very low 12's and dip down in to the 11's with that setup. Just get her tuned right and you will be set, congrats on the purchase!

Low 12,s would be great.I have a scan master in the other car that tells me when to let off or turn down the boost.What do you use to show det or timing?

You can use TunerPro. Its cheap, $30, and with the ALDL/USB cable you can monitor your truck. And if you wanted to go the tuning route, it would be good for that as well.

I would ditch the N2O especially with just a PTE44.

If this in fact is the case, that truck should already be an 11 sec. truck (unless you are running 40 psi in each tire or were on a gravel road).

Sounds like a recipe for needing a new motor - Nitrous, Boost Controller, and a "tuner".
What exactly do you mean by a "tuner".

Is the intake manifold modified for the vortecs, or does it look like it has a couple of gaskets sandwiched in there to mate up?

There is a cable under the dash
I would think there would need to be a custom tune with all the mods?
