Hey I just bought a Typhoon for $12,500 (70,000miles) it is immaculant.

Anyway I am a mod freak and I am asking for help,

What should I do first how $ and were to get the parts,

I was thinking:

Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
intercooler to turbo pipe
chip
boost controller
intake (if there is one)
custom 3 inch exhaust with no muff and no cats (maybe with cutout)

Only bolt on stuff for right now

Thanks any help would be great

forgot to mention if there are any other tricks/hints to launching or drive with it in overdrive or d. brake boosting? Also cooling upgrades such as rad cap, 180* stat, fans,

Where can i get clears for the front?

Weight reductio?

Anything would be usefull or just give me some links to old posts

thanks

No cat and a stock turbo wastegate equals overboost, you will need an external wastegate or a different turbo (if you want an internal wastegate) My highflow Random Technology cat and stock turbo hits 13-14psi and then creep up to 16 psi by just passing solenoid and just using the actuator (This is base boost and stock SyTy has a base boost of 8psi) A catless exhaust would be noticably worse.

Thanks for the help,

Does anyone know where i can get clears for the blinkers up front and the sidemarkers? Should I order them for a jimmy

dgoodhue:

If i had a bigger fuel pump would this be ok all I want to hear from this thing is turbo

Also is the k&N filter worth it or is there a hardpie filter kit

Sorry I hate being the new guy

Welcome to the site and congrats on the truck. Do you have any pics of it?

I carry all that stuff you listed.

Get all the tune-up stuff done, and start looking for a cheap laptop. Its a good idea to go with a walbro fuel pump ASAP, and a AFPR (adjustable fuel pressure regulator)

Here is a screenshot of datamaster:

Just take things slow, you'll realize real quick that these trucks take patience. Do the tune-up, see how it runs, then go from there. You'll also want to pull the ecm down to see if it still has the stock chip.

I sure wish my KR would look like that!

When I went to the track a week ago I kept turning up the boost and I had barely any at 20 psi, on 94 octane.

I made a pass and saw about 3-4* so I backed it down to about 19psi. I don't like to push my luck. :D
