Do you have the Thermomaster or Street? If you have the thermomaster(or whatever they call it)take it out and put the stock memcal back in by itself. I bought it for the carrier so I could put a zif in it. I called Hypertech up to see what kind of info they could give me on boost limits, mph limits, rev limit, fuel cutoff etc just to see what I was getting(eprom was getting erased anyway). Guess what? They didn't know a damned thing. Amazing really. They didn't know what made one (street/thermomaster) different from the other and didn't know what to do other than "put in a lower temp thermostat, an AFPR, and a fan switch." I'm a dick so I explain to them that the syty's didn't come with an electric fan and the CAC pump could be enabled at lower temps with settings within the stock memcal. You'd think I was talking French or something based on their silence. They just sell them. No telling who made the program on it.
If you have the thermomaster and love it, you're killing your engine. I used Promgrammer (thanks Bill) and checked it out myself. They took the F77 table and just maxed out every single entry. No matter what throttle position you have your foot at, boost is pegged. Very little adjustment was made to the volumetric efficiency tables, and the TC lockup point is raised, and timing is advanced. Why would you advance timing with higher boost levels and very little if any change in fueling? This chip didn't make sense. Do yourself a favor, go with the stock Memcal or get an Ultimate 3 Bar and keep it on the T-15 setting until you get your truck where you like it, then you can just change the program and not the chip. Very flexible unit. Yeah, that sounded good
Just an opinion,
