picked it up today, really like the stance and the interior. the doors have a lot of rattle to them and it needs a radio, really nothing else to complain about.

first steps will be to learn the chip programming and get a snow performance progressive (w/ boost) methanol kit like i have on my trans am.

then will be looking at picking up some wheels and that fender cladding, last step would be a 76mm and external gate.

think once i get that stuff put away i will have a really nice little all weather vehicle :)

X2. Yeah I would say it would be.:rotf:

BTW Welcome to the board! Now at least there is two people on here Rob Raymer owes money too.

Going back over the build and your intention of a 76mm turbo, I would highly recommend a 4l80E conversion. People will argue, but ask yourself if any fast 4th gen f-bodies are running fast and have a dependable 4l60e? Most of the f-body automatic guys are running t400 or 80e's. The 700r4 is just the 60e without the eletronic control.

I would take the 700r4 out and sell it while it still is good and go 80e! Or you will be getting good at taking them out.:2cents:

I would also look at swaping the stock intake for a edelbrock carb one converted to FI. The stocker is way restrictive. Robert (mrsyclone) from Sweden picked up 5 tenths by doing this swap!

He has the 4L80E in his Firebird too. Maybe get a volume discount for buying built 4L80Es? :)

Their are a lot of modded truck FS that I would redo everything, especially one that were done in the 90's.

i guess that sucks for me since mine was done in the 90's

Waller builds a nice one, just they are overmatched by the torque these trucks put out. Hell my stock motor, stock turbo truck puts out over 500lbs/TQ to the wheels. Dyno Graph. Probably break it with a 63. Defintely with a 76mm.

Here is a few pics of the intake installed.

It is just an edelbrock performer intake for a 4.3 with the center divider removed and drilled for injectors bungs.
