No.1 performance upgrade

Before my fuel pump decided to quit today. I did a little more tuning to the Typhoon. This code 59 is great.

In my opinion every SyTyer should get into this.There is so much improvement in these trucks when tuned.

I have been in a few fast cars over the years. But this truck accelerates faster than anything I remember being in. Its almost scary. And that is from a roll. Probably never will do a boost launch. Don't want to break things.

A well-tuned "chip", assuming everything else being stock, will provide more bang for the buck than anything else you can buy.

Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the last things people do...

I'm glad to hear that because I just now started to add timing to the tune. Should be interesting when alky is added to the mix.

If we ever get rid of our snow, I'll take mine out and start doing that too. Dig suggested I add 3 degrees to mine since I finally got a run with no KR (interesting side story on switching from Shell to Exxon gas here - got the inside scoop from our bulk supplier). I got 5 gallons of 110 octane, so I'm going to put in 5 gallons of 91 octane, add the 5 of 110 and that should give me 10 of ~100 octane... I'll use that as my standard 'mix' going forward. I can't even imagine trying to do any of this without '59!

It will be too rich if you run alcohol with an Ultimate Chip.

I can't wait to get my mine tuned in. I made some mistakes last weekend on code $59 but I have been itching all week to get out driving again and do some more code $59.

I disagree. I think a NOS kit should be everyones first mod. At least a 100 shot spray. Tuning just slows you down from going fast!

I'd put that on my list of *least* effective mods.

It was a good way to overfuel a couple cyls and lean out a couple others.

I disagree. I think a NOS kit should be everyones first mod. At least a 100 shot spray. Tuning just slows you down from going fast!

NOS is a little to dangerous for me to use on one of these trucks.

Tuning these trucks not only makes them faster but also less likley to go kaboom.
